Atheist Activist Group Wants Illinois Principal Fired for ‘Promoting Christianity’ to Students

A professing atheist activist organization is recommending that a Chicago-area principal be fired for promoting Christianity to students.

The Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) recently sent a letter to the attorney for Rich Township Schools after becoming informed that Rich South High School Principal Michael McGrone announced that his goal is to “allow God back in school.”

It pointed to an article in the Chicago Tribune, which outlined that McGrone supports prayer in school and had a Christian woman, known as Mother Henderson, pray with students in the cafeteria over a microphone

“This is how we ‘stop the killing’: Allow God back in school!! Prayer works,” he also wrote on Facebook.

FFRF further pointed to a quote in the Tribune article, in which McGrone stated, “Is [prayer] considered crossing the line? I would agree in part, but in so many ways I cannot deny who I am and what got me to become principal.”

It therefore recommended that the principal be fired.

“Given McGrone’s admission that he was aware that his activities violated the law, and his description of his unconstitutional behavior as ‘who I am and what got me to become principal,’ we see no reasonable alternative to terminating his employment with the district,” wrote staff attorney Ryan Jayne.

Blogger's comment:

According to Chicago Police records: "The city has seen 141 murders this year, compared with 82 murders at the same point last year. Police reported 677 shootings this year compared with 359 at the same point last year."

A principal, and man of faith, who brings hope to children by encouraging them to pray is facing the loss of his job. We are living in dark times when we allow the godless to extinguish hope and Light to our children.

Muslim in Eastern Uganda Kills Christian Wife for Leaving Islam. Five Children Narrowly Escape Death.

A Muslim in eastern Uganda strangled his wife to death this month for leaving Islam, relatives and neighbors said.

Awali Kakaire, 34, early in the morning on May 8 killed Mariam Nakirya for embracing Christianity in Mbaale village, Imanyiro Sub-County, Mayuge District, the area residents told Morning Star News. She was 30.

Kakaire, who has fled the area, began to suspect his wife was a Christian a month prior, after the local imam questioned him as to why his wife and children had not been attending mosque prayers, nor his children attending the madrassa(Islamic school). Kakaire questioned his children about it, said one of his sons, whose name is undisclosed for security reasons.

“Our father questioned us why we have stopped attending the madrassa, but we told him that we were busy with school work as our mother had instructed us,” he told Morning Star News. “Our mother told our father that she has been busy instructing us on school homework. This made my father to cool down his tempers.”

As Kakaire frequently traveled to Malaba on business, sometimes for a month at a time, the rest of the family was often able to attend a nearby church on Sundays.

On May 8 Kakaire awoke at 6 a.m., and after his Islamic cleansing ritual woke his wife for her to join him in morning Islamic prayers, their son said.

“Our mother refused, and our father started strangling her as she cried for help,” he said.

'French Jews Experiencing Worst Situation Since 1945'

French Jews are experiencing the most difficult situation they have encountered since the end of World War II, the newly-elected president of France’s umbrella of Jewish communities said.

Francis Kalifat, 64, said Sunday that his first priority as president of Council of French Jewish Institutions (CRIF) is to fight against the anti-Semitism that he said was responsible for the situation he described.

“The fight against anti-Semitism is our main cause because French Jews are in the most difficult situation they have experience since World War II,” Kalifat said during an interview with Radio J shortly after his unanimous election to succeed Roger Cukierman as president.

Kalifat, who was born in Algeria and is the first Sephardic Jew to hold the position since CRIF’s establishment in 1944, was the only candidate running this election.

His presidency, which will become effective next month, comes at a time of record emigration by Jews from France, partly because of anti-Semitic violence that included hundreds of anti-Semitic incidents annually in recent years, and dozens of physical assaults. Since 2012, attacks on Jewish targets by French Islamists in France and Belgium claimed the lives of 12 people. Last year, roughly 8,000 French Jews left for Israel — the highest number on record for any year, which made France for the second year straight Israel’s largest provider of newcomers.

“I think all of our force needs to be united to fight against this anti-Semitism in all its forms, because we see this new anti-Semitism advancing under the guise of anti-Zionism,” added Kalifat, a businessman and longtime activist for Zionist and Jewish causes who is CRIF’s 11th president.

Fulfilling a role similar to Britain’s Board of Deputies of British Jews, CRIF is widely considered to be the main representative political body of French Jews, hosting French presidents and prime minister at events and gala dinners several times a year. The CRIF presidential election takes place every three years.

Elderly Christian Woman Stripped Naked and Paraded Through Streets by Mob

coptic-christians-egypt.jpg

By Adam Withnall
Independent

A 70-year-old Christian woman has been stripped naked, beaten and paraded through the streets by a mob of around 300 Muslim men in a village in southern Egypt.

The mob also burned down seven homes belonging to Christian families, according to an unusually outspoken statement issued by the local Orthodox Coptic church, after rumours circulated in the village that a Christian man was having a relationship with a Muslim woman.

The violence started at around 8pm on 20 May, and the local diocese said it was two hours before police responded, by which point the mob had already dispersed.

The woman who was stripped naked was reported to be the mother of the man involved in the rumoured affair. She has since met with church leaders, the Diocese of Minya and Abu Qirqas said.

The violence is representative of the tensions between the two religions in the province south of Cairo, where extra-marital affairs between Muslims and Christians are strictly taboo.

But it appears the Coptic church has finally had enough of what they say is unfair treatment from the authorities over such cases. Christians only make up around 10 per cent of Egypt’s population, the majority being Muslim.

in this image released by the Diocese of Minay and Abu Qirqas

And speaking in an uncharacteristically candid TV interview on Wednesday night, Minya’s most senior cleric Anba Makarios said the response if it had been a Muslim man having an affair with a Christian woman “would not have been anything like what happened”.

He said police had been warned the day before of threats towards the Christian family from villagers, yet gave the mob “ample time” to do whatever they wanted.

“No one did anything and the police took no pre-emptive or security measures in anticipation of the attacks,” he said. “We are not living in a jungle or a tribal society. It's incorrect for anyone to declare himself judge, police and ruler.”

Christian Pastor Murdered in Uganda After Challenging Arabic Mythologies

Morning Star News
Coffin of Baptist Pastor Micah Byamukama
By Ruth Gledhill
Christianity Today

A Christian pastor has died in Uganda after being poisoned with insecticide. He had previously survived being attacked with knives.

Sources in his village said Micah Byamukama, pastor of Kasecha Baptist Church in Kibuku District, died after he challenged belief in supernatural creatures in Arabic mythology.

The pastor said that "the true God is the God of the Lord Jesus Christ, who conquered the power of Satan including the Islamic Jinn", according to Morning Star News. "He maintained that the Islamic Jinn are acts of Satan and should be denounced," reported the non-profit website which covers issues involving persecuted Christians.

A widower with no children who lived with another member of the church, Pastor Byamukama was alone when he received a visit from a guest. Shortly after the guest left, the pastor began having stomach pains. He was rushed to Kabweri Health Centre, where the pain continued, accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea, leading up to his death.

Pastor Byamukama was an animist who believed in ancestral spirits before putting his faith in Christ and changing his name from Mukama to Byamukama, 'All for God'.

About 85 per cent of the people in Uganda are Christian and 11 per cent Muslim, with some eastern areas having large Muslim populations. The country's constitution and other laws provide for religious freedom, including the right to propagate one's faith and convert from one faith to another.

The incident is the latest in a series of attacks on Christians in eastern Uganda.

Last month, Muslims in Pallisa District beat and raped a young Christian woman for testifying that a mosque leader killed her father because of his faith. Also in April, a Muslim in Kachomo village, Budaka District, attacked his wife for becoming a Christian, telling a judge that Islam allows him to kill any apostate.

Knights of Columbus CEO Carl Anderson testified before a congressional subcommittee, warning that indigenous Christians and other minorities in Iraq and Syria face extinction in less than a decade and that the United States can avert this crisis.

"Many of the region's indigenous communities now face extinction. These communities may disappear in less than a decade. But their fate is not inevitable," Anderson told the U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

In March, Secretary of State John Kerry acknowledged for the first time that genocide being committed by the Islamic State terror group, which is also known as ISIS or ISIL or Daesh, against Christians and other religious minorities in the Middle East.

The United States can avert this crisis, Anderson, who heads the Catholic fraternal organization, told the lawmakers at the hearing, titled, "The ISIS Genocide Declaration: What Next?" He urged them to act according to six principles.

China's Persecution of Believers Swells to 20,000 in 'Barbaric' Round Ups, Report Finds

Chinese Christians Praying in Catholic Underground Church

By Stoyan Zaimov
Christian Post

China Aid has reported in its 2015 Annual Report of Religious and Human Rights Persecution in China that as many as 20,000 people suffered religious persecution by the Communist Party throughout the year. Despite increasing persecution, however, the number of Christians in the country continues to grow.

"In 2015, China Aid documented 634 cases of persecution in which 19,426 religious practitioners were persecuted, representing an 8.62 percent increase from 2014's 17,884 religious practitioners persecuted," the report stated.

"A number of factors led to the increases, including a widespread, barbaric round up of China's human rights legal professionals, activists and family members in July 2015," it added.

Christians have particularly been targeted in the ongoing church and rooftop-cross demolition campaign, which has taken down hundreds of crosses and places of worship in the past couple of years. Hundreds of Christians, including pastors and lawyers, have been arrested for speaking out against the ongoing persecution, though the Chinese government has claimed it is only tackling "building code" violations.

The demolition campaign has continued throughout 2016, and has led to several casualties such as the killing of a church leader's wife in central Henan province who was buried alive for standing up to the government-ordered demolition of a church.

China Aid warned that it is not only Christians who are being persecuted, noting that followers of Tibetan Buddhism and Islam "likely experienced even more intense government persecution" at the hands of the atheistic Communist Party.

Despite the hardships that Christians faced throughout the year, the report states that Christianity continues to grow.

Record 499 Syrian Refugees Admitted to US So Far in May Includes No Christians

By Patrick Goodenough
CNS News

The Obama administration has admitted 499 Syrian refugees so far this month, with no Christians among them.

Of the 499 admitted in May, 495 are Sunni Muslims and the remaining four are described simply as “Moslem” in State Department Refugee Processing Center data.

Since FY2016 began on October 1, a total of 2,235 Syrian refugees have been resettled in the United States. Of them, 10 (0.44 percent) are Christians: three Catholics, two Orthodox, one Greek Orthodox and four refugees identified simply as “Christian.”

Christians make up the biggest non-Muslim minority in Syria – about 10 percent before the civil war erupted.

Meanwhile the State Department figures show that 2,170 (97 percent) of the 2,235 Syrian refugee newcomers in FY2016 are Sunni Muslims. The rest are made up of 17 Shi’a Muslims, 27 other Muslims, 10 Yazidis, and one refugee identified as “other religion.”

This marks the first time the fraction of Christians admitted during any given month in FY2016 has fallen below half a percentage point. Last October, it was 2.1 percent. By year’s end it had dropped to 0.9 percent, and over the ensuing months it has edged down to 0.8, 0.7, 0.5 and now 0.4 percent.

With another week still to run, May already accounts for the highest monthly tally of Syrian refugees admitted since the civil war began in the spring of 2011. The 499 admitted so far in May also exceeds the total number admitted during the first three years of the conflict.

Blogger's comment:
Recently the UN and the US Congress has declared that the killing of Christians in the Middle East is genocide. How then can the Obama administration and the US State Department justify their refusal to take Christian refugees into our country? This is clearly a form of religious discrimination. In doing so, this administration blatantly disregards the imminent threat of torture and death that Christians face daily.

40,000 Christians Persecuted by Muslims…in Germany

Muslim persecution Christian refugees Germany

By Robert Spencer
Jihad Watch

A hint of what’s to come for Germany and Europe in general. Do German authorities really believe that these migrants will settle down and become loyal and productive citizens?

“40,000 Christians Persecuted By Muslims In Germany,” by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, May 10, 2016 (thanks to Filip):

A new study shows that potentially thousands of Christians have been attacked and harassed in German migrant homes by Muslim guards and fellow migrants.

Multiple human rights organizations are warning the German government of the conditions that Christians in asylum homes are being subjected to. One organization in particular has chronicled 231 specific cases of the harassment of Christians by Muslim migrants and Muslim security guards in asylum homes.

Open Doors is a humanitarian relief organization that specializes in helping Christians who are persecuted worldwide. Markus Rode, a member of the group, said that the study is only “the tip of the iceberg” and called for more action to address the problem Frankfurter Allgemeine reports.

The report from Open Doors chronicles varying types of abuse. Christians in the study came mostly from Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan and were recent converts to the faith.

Breitbart London has reported many times of the challenges of migrants who have chosen to forgo Islam and convert to Christianity. Many converts wished to do so in their homelands, but in places like Iran and Afghanistan the penalty for leaving the Islamic religion can be death and so they fled to Europe. Now in European asylum homes they are finding more and more that they are in as much danger from radical Muslims in Europe as they were in their home countries.

Christians ordered to keep faith quiet... by the Archbishop of Canterbury

archbishop

Rev. Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury

By Laura Mowat
Sunday Express, UK

CHRISTIANS should not talk openly about their faith unless they are invited to according to the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Rev Justin Welby said Christians should wait until hey are asked before they discuss their religious beliefs.

Speaking at a reception for leaders of other faiths, the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury insisted that Christians should not actively “proselytise” towards non-Christians.

When he was asked where he drew the line between evangelism and proselytism, he said: “I draw the line in terms of respect for the other, in starting by listening before you speak; in terms of love that is unconditional and not conditional to one iota, to one single element, on how the person responds to your own declaration of faith; and of not speaking about faith unless you are asked about faith.”

The Church of England recently launched a big drive in a bid to reverse decades of decline.

Last Sunday some of England’s renowned cathedrals, including St Paul’s and Winchester, became places of rock concert-style music.

The Archbishop also said there had been a sharp rise in anti-Semitism in British culture.  He said: “We’ve seen a very sharp rise over the last year or so in anti-Semitic expression - absolutely intolerable. I am not looking at any political party, it is deeply embedded in so much of our culture in this country..and many of you will have experienced that.”

ISIS Beheads Another Christian Priest in Syria

Christians persecuted in Syria

By Madeeha Bakhsh

Terror group Islamic State beheads another Christian this time a priest in the conflict-torn Syria. The Catholic priest Father Yacob Boulos, was severely punished for offering prayers in his church. Media has remained silent over this incident as this incident actually took place on February 18, but nobody reported it unless it was brought out by an Italian newspaper.

There are reliable reports are that Father Yacob Boulos, was beheaded by the terror group’ militants after he prayed on the altar of his church. He was punished for his faith. The Italian newspaper said,” “Boulos Yacoub” was a priest who
professava [sic] his faith in Syria.”

The Italian newspaper whined over the fact that international media had completely overlooked the plight of these Christians, and this incident went unreported. His crime was only being a man of faith. Condemnation has been heaped on the international leader and community for not paying attention quandary of these Christian priests.

No state or leader had mentioned or condemned the horrific gesture of the terror group for punishing a man for offering prayer. The only sources of this news are the are the curie of Italian provinces via a press release inside.

What I Have Learned From the Persecuted Church

Horn+of+Africa_2015_0430102774

By Kate Yates
Open Doors

This month marks 13 years that I have worked with the ministry of Open Doors. In that time my faith has been greatly impacted by our brothers and sisters living under persecution. Each time I am asked to share about our ministry and the persecuted Christians we serve, there are three points I share without fail.

Count the Cost.  For our brothers and sisters living in countries where conversion can cost you your life, persecuted Christians have counted the cost to follow Jesus.  Jesus said, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me.” (Mark 9:23) These instructions are for all believers, both those living in persecution and those living with freedom of religion.  The question, “Is Jesus worth it?” is responded to with an unyielding “Yes,” by those who have counted the cost and they challenge me to be able to say the same.

Depend on the Lord.  I will never forget when a colleague shared with us about the difference between Christians in America and those in Egypt. He said, “You [American Christians] all have plans A through Z, but we [Christians in Egypt] have only one plan and that is for God to show up.  If He doesn’t, then we are out of luck.”  Many times I have been challenged to put my trust in the Lord and depend on Him and not come up with my own backup plan. “Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes…” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

Treasure God’s Word.  The value persecuted Christians place on God’s Word has left a huge impression on me.  Not only do I view my own personal Bibles (yes, I have more than one) with greater appreciation, but I have been challenged to place more and more of God’s Word in my heart. There are those who cannot have a Bible in their possession and so their Bible is the portions they have memorized.  For me, who has easy access, I had not committed Scripture to memory but have been moved to do so, including Psalm 119:11, “I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin again you.”

When I think about sharing the message of the persecuted Church with the next generation, these are the messages I hope they hear.

Freedom to Choose to be a Christian in Malaysia?

Malaysia window

Open Doors: Stories of Persecution

Can you imagine having your religious beliefs decided for you at a young age? Here in America, we have the opportunity to freely choose what religion we want to follow. However, in many countries this is not the case. Like in Sarawak, Malaysia, where Rooney Rebit was forced to convert to Islam at the age of 8, a decision made by his parents. Now, at age 41, he has been granted the ability to legally change his religion to Christian. Yet, as joyous as this moment is, it looks like the change may soon be reversed.

On April 22, the National Registration Department (NDR) filed an appeal against the decision allowing Rebit to change his religion. According to a constitutional rights lawyer, “Judges are abdicating their role to protect the freedom of religion in the Constitution. Every religious rights case, like the Allah case (where Christian weren’t allowed to use the word ‘God’ in publications), gets overturned in the highest courts (of Malaysia).”

Sarawak is the only state in Malaysia that currently allows anyone to convert from Islam. If the court decides to reverse Rebit’s case, they will essentially be outlawing anyone in Malaysia from converting to Christianity.

Join us in prayer for believers in Malaysia as they strive to stand strong in spite of increasing religious restrictions. Many of them are unaware of the government’s attempts to convert them to Islam. Also, pray for discernment and sound judgement as Sarawaka elects a new state government on May 7. Finally, pray for Rooney Rebit, that he would glorify the name of Jesus Christ – regardless of what religion is on his government-issued ID.

CONFIRMED: Priest ISIS Was Going To Crucify Has Been Released and is in Yemen Waiting to go Home

Father Tom Uzhunnalil

By Andrew Bleszad
Shoebat.com
Thank you for your prayers. For your sacrifices. For all the little things which you did on behalf of Fr. Uzhunnalil.

They have made a difference:

Catholic priest Tom Uzhunnalil, kidnapped by Islamic State militants in March in Yemen and feared to have been crucified on Good Friday, is now reportedly safe and is expected to be released.

“It is now clear that the priest is not in the custody of the Islamic State terror group but with anti-government forces in Yemen. Last minute efforts are underway and his release is imminent,” a government official told IANS in an update.

Uzhunnalil can now be reunited with his elderly brother, Mathew, who pleaded for prayers but said that Tom’s fate is in the hands of God.

“I am waiting for clear good news. Until then, I will stay at home,” Mathew Uzhunnalil told Catholic News Service in a previous interview.

“A lot of people are coming here (to the house) and even hold prayer meetings (for the safety of the priest),” he added.

Pope John Paul II's Messages on Sacredness of Life, Family, and Islam

By Bill Federer
American Minute

He was the most recognized person in the world. He met with Presidents Carter, Reagan, Bush, Clinton and Bush.

Born in a small town in Poland, MAY 18, 1920, was Karol Wojtyla.  A chemical worker during World War II, he risked punishment by Communists for being ordained a priest.

In 1967, he became Archbishop of Krakow and, in 1978, he became Pope John Paul II, the first non-Italian pope since 1522.

Leader of one billion Catholics, Pope John Paul spoke eight languages and traveled a million miles in 170 countries - more than any other pope.

In 1981, he survived an assassination attempt by a Muslim Turk, whom he forgave during a prison visit.
He helped end communism in Europe.

In 1993, President Clinton greeted Pope John Paul II in Denver.

At Regis University, Pope John Paul II stated:

"The inalienable dignity of every human being...in the first place the right to life and the defense of life...are at the heart of the church's message and action in the world...

No country, not even the most powerful, can endure if it deprives its own children of this essential good."

During the Saturday night prayer vigil, August 14, 1993, at Cherry Creek State Park, the Pope addressed nearly a quarter of a million people:

"There is spreading an anti-life mentality-an attitude of hostility to life in the womb and life in its last stages.

Precisely when science and medicine are achieving a greater capacity to safeguard health and life, the threats against life are becoming more insidious. Abortion and euthanasia - the actual killing of another human being - are hailed as 'rights' and solutions to 'problems.'"

On August 15, 1993, the Pope addressed over 375,000 people from 70 different countries at Cherry Creek State Park as a part of "World Youth Day," with Vice-President Al Gore in attendance:

"A 'culture of death' seeks to impose itself on our desire to live...

As at no other time in history, the 'culture of death' has assumed a social and institutional form of legality to justify the most horrible crimes against humanity: genocide, 'final solutions,' 'ethnic cleansings' and massive taking of lives of human beings even before they are born, or before they reach the natural point of death...

...In much of contemporary thinking, any reference to a 'law' guaranteed by the Creator is absent. There remains only each individual's choice...

Vast sectors of society are confused about what is right and what is wrong and are at the mercy of those with the power to 'create' opinion and impose it on others...."

"The family especially is under attack...

Naturally, the weakest members of society are the most at risk. The unborn, children, the sick, the handicapped, the old, the poor and unemployed, the immigrant and refugee....

Do not be afraid to go out on the streets and into public places.... This is no time to be ashamed of the Gospel. It is a time to preach it from
the rooftops....

...You must feel the full urgency of the task. Woe to you if you do not succeed in defending life.

The church needs your energies, your enthusiasm, your youthful ideas, in order to make the Gospel of Life penetrate the fabric of society, transforming people's hearts and the structures of society in order to create a civilization of true justice and love."

Evangelist Billy Graham lauded Pope John Paul II's 11th papal encyclical, titled "Evangelium Vitae" (Gospel of Life), issued April of 1995, as:

"A forceful and thoughtful defense of the sacredness of human life in the face of the modern world's reckless march toward violence and needless death."

On October 8, 1995, at the Baltimore-Washington International Airport with Vice-President Al Gore, Pope John Paul admonished America again:

"At the center of the moral vision of your founding documents is the recognition of the rights of the human person and especially respect for the dignity and sanctity of human life in all conditions and at all stages of development.

I say to you again, America, in the light of your own tradition: love life, cherish life, defend life, from conception to natural death."

In Denver, Colorado, 1993, Pope John Paul stated:

"In spite of divisions among Christians, 'all those justified by faith through baptism are incorporated into Christ...brothers and sisters in the Lord.'"

Having the third longest papal term in history, Pope John Paul II died April 2, 2005. President Bush ordered flags flown half staff.

Regarding Islam, Pope John Paul wrote in Crossing the Threshold of Hope (1995):

"Islam is not a religion of redemption.

There is no room for the Cross and the Resurrection... The tragedy of redemption is completely absent..."

"In Islam, all the richness of God's self-revelation, which constitutes the heritage of the Old and New Testaments, has definitely been set aside...

The god of the Koran is a god outside of the world, a god who is only Majesty, never Emmanuel, God-with-us...

Not only the theology, but also the anthropology of Islam is very distant from Christianity."

NFL Dumped in Skirmish Over Religious Freedom

The halftime show of this year's Super Bowl was turned into a gay pride festival.
The halftime show of this year’s Super Bowl
turned into a “gay” pride festival

By Cheryl Chumley
World Net Daily

An Iowa pastor watching with alarm a governor’s veto of a religious liberty bill in Georgia, a veto that came in part because of the National Football League’s thinly veiled threat to remove the state from its list of potential sites to host an upcoming Super Bowl has now fired back with a campaign of his own.

He’s sworn off one of his favorite fall pastimes, watching football on television.

And he’s quietly hoping his NFL boycott carries weight with his congregation and beyond, and perhaps sparks others to do similarly.

“I have begun to throw away my NFL gear already,” said Ray Peters, pastor of Harvest Alliance Church in Minden, in one of several emails, sent after reading WND coverage of the matter.

In another email, he wrote: “It is time for Christians to take a stand where they are and say no to the world where they can. Maybe we can use our time wiser than sitting around for three hours watching men playing a game and making far more money than the president.”

Pastor Ray Peters: Surrender to 'gay' activists

His protest comes on the heels of Gov. Nathan Deal’s refusal to sign into law a bill aimed at hampering lawsuits against certain faith-based organizations, like churches, that could be asked to do businesses with those who violate the “sincerely held religious beliefs” of the owners, executives, leaders or manager

The bill was intended to shield Georgia faithfuls from suffering the same sorts of legal challenges that have erupted in recent months around the country pitting homosexual activists against Christian business owners. In 2013, for instance, the New Mexico Supreme Court ruled photographers couldn’t use a religious-freedom argument to refuse to snap pictures at a “gay” wedding, and in 2015, Christian bakers were forced to pay $135,000 in fines for turning down a lesbian couple’s request to make them a cake for their wedding.

The Georgia bill, which passed both sides of the Republican-controlled General Assembly in record time, was criticized by “gay” rights’ groups and some businesses, like Disney, Coca-Cola, Home Depot and Google and by the NFL.

The Express

A SELF-STYLED Sharia patrol group have been jailed for savagely beating a man trying to defended his daughter and wife.

The men were well-known in the area for attempting to control how women acted.

A court heard the group of young men, who called themselves ‘The Wolves’, approached the victim’s mother, daughter and his daughter’s friends.

They told the girls, who were aged between 14 and 16, they were behaving improperly and ordered them to go home.

The group told the man’s wife: “We, and only we, are bringing the girls back home. They are our country’s women.”

The savage beating occurred in the Millenium club in Vienna.  Terrified, the mother phoned her husband, who turned up a short while later and confronted the group.

In response, they brutally beat the man while his distraught family looked on in the shocking incident in Vienna, Austria.  Another passer-by who tried to help the victim was also attacked.  Both men ended up in hospital with severe cuts and bruises, while the father and husband was left with a titanium plate in his his eye socket.

The man was beaten while attempting to protect his wife and daughter in Vienna.  Three men were later identified and sentenced to between eight and 10 months in jail for GBH.  Another man was spared jail but fined €480 for inciting violence.

Pastor Accused of Being an “Anti-Muslim Bigot” for Church Sign Saying “Koran is Just Another Book"

The pastor of an Oregon Baptist church is under fire locally for putting what critics call a bigoted message on his church’s sign board, KATU reports.

Pastor Michael Harrington placed the words on the reader board outside Belmont Drive Missionary Baptist Church. On one side it reads, “Wake up Christians, Allah is not our God, Muhammad not greater than Jesus.” On the other side, it says, “Only the Bible is God’s word, ‘holy book,’ Koran is just another book.”

“I’m not politically correct. I’ve never been politically correct, but I think I’m biblically correct, and that’s what matters to me,” Harrington told KATU. “It isn’t against any particular denomination. It’s just the fact that I have taught and will continue to teach that I have one God, one way of salvation and one Bible that’s holy.”

But locals, including the mayor, don’t want to see the signs.

“I was really annoyed and sad,” Hood River mayor, Paul Blackburn, told KATU. “I am annoyed that in this political season there’s a solid case of ugly going on. I think it norms up this kind of behavior like ‘oh it’s okay to be a bigot now.’”

Another resident, Eric Cohn, said he was very upset.

“I literally had to stop and back up and make sure I saw what I saw, and I was profoundly offended and upset by it,” Cohn told KATU….

www.rawstory.com further reported: Harrington told the station he has no plans to remove the sign until the beginning of June, when he was planning to put a new one up anyway.

Christian Man In Hiding For His Life As Thousands Of Muslims Are Hunting To Burn Him Alive Because He Had A Video Of A Christian Apologist Criticizing Muhammad On His Facebook Page

The trouble started when Imran Masih, a 25-year-old Christian from Pakistan, let his Muslim “friend” borrow his cell phone for a call. His “friend” saw that Imran had a video critical of Muhammad on his Facebook page. In response, the Muslim called up two of his friends, jumped Imran, and beat him into a bloody mess. But that was not enough for them.

When the local Sheikh found out about it, he put a bounty of Imran’s head- $14,000 US Dollars to capture him and burn him alive for “blasphemy.” Now Imran is in hiding, but the Muslims have turned their wrath against his family and his village. Over a thousand Muslims have descended upon his village, and they are demanding that 45 Christian families convert to Islam or “suffer.”:

According to the the London-based charity British Pakistani Christian Association, Masih had fallen in love with a Muslim girl in the area and drew the ire of several men in the Muslim community who warned him to stay away from the girl.

On the day of the incident, Masih was at work when he was called to go to a medical store where his friend Bilal worked. While at the store, Masih showed Bilal a picture on his phone of his love interest. He was then called to do some sweeping and in a hurry, he accidentally left his phone behind.

BPCA reports that when Masih returned to get his phone, Bilal began pushing and shoving him and accused him of blasphemy for a video he allegedly found on his phone of a Christian apologist talking about the Islamic prophet Muhammad.

According to BPCA, which met with members of Masih’s family and a local politician, the video in question was posted to Bilal’s Facebook page by somebody else and he had not watched the video.

Masih tried to tell his friend that he had nothing to do with that video. But Bilal refused to believe Masih reasoning and called over two other Muslim men named Muhammad Anayat and Muhammed Saleem. All three men beat Masih until they were forced to stop.

After an on-call doctor was called to the scene to treat his injuries, Masih was forced to destroy his phone and ask for forgiveness. He complied with the demands in hopes that it would quell tensions in the community.

Even though Masih had done nothing wrong, he felt the need to flee from the community and stay with an out-of-town resident until the tensions died down.

Community leaders and local muslim clerics held several meetings and eventually issued a fatwa. Also, a mob was sent to attack Masih, his family and other Christians in the community, BPCA reports.

This Former Muslim has a Message for Obama

A Message to President Obama from a former Muslim - האח ראשיד

from Israel Video Network

Brother Rachid, a well-known Morrocan television personaility is hiding all identifying details about himself. He has converted to Christianity and is identified by Islam as an infidel who should be killed. Islam, as he explains, is the religion of “peace”. That is, if you’re a religious Muslim…

Brother Rachid was born in Morocco to a well known imam, Islamic leader. He knew large portions of the Quoran by heart at an early age. And he has a message for Baraq Obama. He wants Obama to stop telling fairy tales. He wants Obama to understand that ISIL is based on Islam as are all radical Islamic terrorist groups. And he lists quite a few names…

“We have been brainwashedto hate all of you in our sacred texts, in our prayers, in our Friday sermons, in our educational systems…We were ready to join any group that would fight you and destroy you and make Islam the religioun of the whole world.”

Baraq may not be reading this, but there is not question of his need to remain aware, and stop glossing things over. It’s important to listen to a brother.

University of London Panel Calls for Annihilation of Israel as Solution to Global Anti-Semitism

Speakers at a Wednesday evening University of London Student Union (ULSU)-sponsored panel called for the destruction of Israel as a solution to ridding the world of antisemitism, The Algemeiner has learned from a British watchdog group.

According to a UK Media Watch report, several panelists issued the calls during an event centered on the theme of antisemitism in the Labour Party and how the current scandal is being used to silence critics of Israel and bring down party leader Jeremy Corbyn. A leaflet handed out at the beginning of the panel, titled “Labour Jews Assert,” stated, “some people…are wielding ‘antisemitism’ allegations as a stick to beat the Corbyn leadership.”

Speaker Tariq Ali — a British Pakistani writer, journalist and filmmaker, who is an outspoken supporter of Hamas — said the annihilation of Israel would greatly benefit both Palestinians and Israelis. Antisemitism, according to Ali, is a result of the creation of a Jewish state, and once Israel is wiped off the map, antisemitism will disappear. Ali’s calls for a one-state solution were seconded by fellow speaker John Rose, a notorious anti-Israel and anti-Zionist author.

Ali also accused Israel of branding those who criticize the country as antisemites, stating, “This is not a decision that was taken here [in Britain] or in Washington, DC. This was a decision that was taken by the Israeli government in Israel.” He referred to the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement as the “first mass non-violent movement to get Palestinian rights and defend Palestinian rights.”

Ali said the Holocaust “taught as a unique crime is not helpful” and minimizes other global atrocities. “If what is being done with Muslim communities today were being done to the Jews again, how many would tolerate it? Very few. And these are the double standards,” he said.

Also present at the panel was Weyman Bennett of Unite Against Fascism, Arthur Goodman of Jews for Justice for Palestinians, Lindsey German of Stop the War Coalition, and “As a Jew” activist Walter Wolfgang.

According to the report, Goodman said Jewish organizations should not be allowed to take part in defining antisemitism, due to a conflict of interest. He claimed Israel “ethnically cleansed” Palestinians in 1948, referring to it as the Nakba, Arabic for “catastrophe.” Echoing Goodman’s ideas on the Nakba, Wolfgang asserted that Palestinians were “driven out of their habitations” in 1948 and called for Israel to withdraw to pre-1967 borders, which the government of Israel has said repeatedly would make the country indefensible.

Bennett praised the Left for its fight against antisemitism, citing his organization’s protest against Hungarian party Jobbik leader Gábor Vona’s visit to the UK in January 2014. German called for open criticism of the political ideology of Zionism and argued that many Jews do not support the state of Israel.

Present in the audience of 300 attendees was Israel activist Jonathan Hoffman, the report noted, who handed out copies of the European Union Monitoring Centre on Racism and Xenophobia (EUMC) Working Definition of Antisemitism. During the question-and-answer session at the end of the panel, Hoffman attempted to “articulate Israel’s case under immense pressure.”

The University of London has been the site of high-profile anti-Israel activities. In January, police were called to the scene of an anti-Israel riot on campus, in which one Jewish student was physically assaulted. The riot broke out after a speech by former Shin Bet (Israel security agency) chief Ami Ayalon. In March, the ULSU passed a motion supporting the BDS movement.

She was kidnapped by Boko Haram and escaped. This is her dream.

“I have a dream of a safe Nigeria.” This is the hope voiced by one of the Nigerian schoolgirls who escaped captivity by the terror group Boko Haram, speaking before members of Congress on Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

“Sa’a,” was one of hundreds of Chibok schoolgirls abducted by the terrorist group Boko Haram on April 14, 2014. She testified Wednesday before the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights, and International Organizations.

She said in her testimony that she dreamed of “a Nigeria where girls like me are not made into suicide bombers, and little boys are not routinely stolen and turned into terrorists. A Nigeria where (if) even the worst happens and children are stolen, every effort is made for their swift rescue, and those who can help, help, and those who can help can speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.”

Boko Haram, which means “Western education is sinful,” is a Nigerian Islamist militant group regarded as the deadliest terror group in the world. The group is responsible for attacks on villages, schools, and churches in Northern Nigeria, killing thousands of Christians and other Muslims in the last few years. After losing some of the land it controlled recently, the group has sent more children and girls on suicide bombing missions.

The group caused an international outcry in 2014 when it attacked a school in Chibok, Nigeria, and abducted 276 teenage girls. An international social media campaign started with the hashtag #BringBackOurGirls trending on Twitter and Facebook.

Some 57 of the girls have escaped the group, but 219 of them are believed to still be in custody. Last month, 15 of the girls appeared alive in a video identifying themselves, obtained by CNN and reportedly filmed in December.

Rep. Chris Smith (R-NJ), chair of the subcommittee, lamented the plight of the kidnapped girls.

“Many of these schoolgirls are believed to have been forced to convert to Islam and married to Boko Haram fighters or prostituted by this group,” he said. “We now receive reports that some of them may be used as suicide bombers.”

Voice of the Martyrs Prisoner Alert: Yklas Kabduakasov Arrested August 2015 in Kazakhstan

Voice of the Martyrs

Kazakhstan’s secret police arrested Yklas Kabduakasov, a 54-year-old new believer from Kazakhstan, on Aug. 14, 2015. Kabduakasov fearlessly shared the gospel with his family and friends after his conversion from Islam.

He was arrested after secret police searched his home and confiscated Christian books. The church where Kabduakasov worships was searched the same day. On Aug. 15, a court in the capital city of Astana ordered him to be held for two months in pre-trial detention for spreading “religious discord.” Kabduakasov now faces a criminal case with a possible 5-10 year prison sentence.

Christians in Kazakhstan believe that Kabduakasov was targeted for his conversion from Islam to Christianity and for sharing the gospel with other Muslims. They believe that the secret police are using these intimidation tactics because they want to make Kabduakasov an example and send a message to all Kazakhs that they will face a similar fate if they convert to Christianity.

Please pray specifically for Yklas Kabduakasov that God would:

• Strengthen his faith and help him go through this trial.
• Comfort his family, especially his wife, who is in the last months of pregnancy.
• Soften the hearts of his persecutors, that they would drop the charges against him.
• Provide funds for his family, for legal fees, and for food during his time in detention.

Sentence Changed from House Arrest to Labor Camp

Yklas Kabduakasov, who was freed from prison in order to serve seven years of house arrest five months ago, is back in prison.

On Dec. 28, 2015, a court convicted him of “inciting religious hatred” and changed the 54-year-old father’s punishment to two years’ imprisonment in a labor camp. Fellow Christians are “shocked” at the harsh punishment for the former Muslim. After three months in the labor camp, Yklas is reportedly thinner, but he does not complain. He is preparing to lodge a final appeal to the Supreme Court.

Please pray for Yklas and his family. You can send a letter by clicking on this link

'Tears Are Not a Policy': Religious Freedom Fighters Urge More From Obama Administration Against ISIS Genocide

'Tears Are Not a Policy': Religious Freedom Fighters Urge More From Obama Admin Against ISIS Genocide
Fr. Douglas Bazi Talks About Genocide in Iraq
By Cortney O'Brien
Town Hall

The Baghdad bombings on Wednesday, for which ISIS has claimed responsibility, has so far claimed the lives of 93 people and wounded almost 200 more. It is just another reminder of the carnage the terror cell is inflicting on religious minorities.

In March, the Obama administration finally declared that ISIS’ targeting of Christians in the Middle East was genocide, a significant step because the term requires some form of action. At a Heritage Foundation event in the nation's capital on Wednesday afternoon, a panel of religious freedom fighters suggested the steps the White House should take now that this crisis has been accurately labeled.

Townhall caught up with two of the leaders on the first panel to get their reactions to the White House's action - or inaction - in the fight against ISIS. Knights of Columbus is a Christian organization that sent the White House a 300-page report earlier this year detailing the atrocities ISIS has committed against religious minorities and waited for an answer. Andrew Walther, the vice president of communications for the KOC, took a few moments to share his initial reaction to the White House’s response.
