Horror as ISIS Kills 250 Christian Children by KNEADING Them to Death in Bread Machine

By Marshall Connolly
Catholic Say

“Whoever denies me before men, I will also deny them before heaven” -Last words of George Assaf before he was murdered by ISIS for the crime of being a Christian.

According to one ISIS survivor in Syria, Christian children were kneaded to death in bread machines, the rotating machines breaking their bones and crushing their young bodies for no crime except being Christian.

This story has been told by Alice Assaf whose son was beaten then shot by ISIS because he refused to change his first name from the Christian “George.”

Assaf told a reporter how ISIS turned a bakery into a death shop of horrors, putting children into machines for kneading dough and turning them on to crush the hapless kids inside. Men were baked to death inside ovens.

Their crime was merely Christianity and it echoes other horrific stories told across the rest of Syria and Iraq. The terrorists remain notorious for their brutality, for it is not enough to merely kill people, the killings must be performed in the most horrific manner so as to terrorize others.

Two years ago, ISIS terrorists took over Assaf’s town in Syria. Alice Assaf told her son George to hide and arranged for him to be hidden by friendly Muslims. However, the family betrayed George and he was captured. His mother had pleaded with him to change his name to a Muslim sounding-one, but he refused. George’s last words to his mother were: “I don’t want to hide myself. You are the one who taught me to follow what Christ said, ‘whoever denies me before men, I will also deny them before Heaven.'”

George Assaf was beaten, then shot.

Assaf (left) told her story to Roads to Success, how ISIS murdered hundreds of Christians upon capturing her village.

Others fared even worse. As ISIS took over the town bakery, they converted it into a shop of horror, they rounded up the six bakers working there and executed them in their own ovens. When they began gathering Christian children at the bakery, some local soldiers attempted to rescue the kids. To discourage the soldiers, the terrorists began throwing children off nearby balconies. The horrifying tactic worked and allowed the terrorists to murder 250 kids in the bakery’s dough machine.

Assaf said she managed to flee from the town and survived to tell her tale to Roads to Success, a non-profit organization that is working to defend human rights in the Middle East.

Many towns have since been liberated, but fear remains that ISIS will return and begin gruesomely murdering more people.

As reporters explore the liberated towns, more horror stories are being told. The terrorists did not merely execute people, but they sought the most horrific ways to kill.

Worst yet, ISIS has mined and booby trapped homes in places like Mosul so that residents will be hurt or killed when they return to their homes.

The scourge that is ISIS is losing ground in the Middle East, but continues to grow elsewhere in the world where it is largely unopposed.

Editorial: Freedom to Report the Persecution of Christians Threatened

By Barnabas Fund

The freedom to report both incidents of anti-Christian persecution and the ideology motivating such attacks is central to what Barnabas Aid and other organisations have done for many years. Yet those freedoms are now under threat, particularly in the UK, but also in other Western countries. This is a three-pronged attack.

First [threat], although the press has been free from government regulation since 1694, there is now a serious possibility that the government will require all media outlets with multiple writers to sign up to a state sponsored press regulator. If they do not, in the event that they are sued, they will have to pay both their own and the complainant’s legal costs, even if they win. In other words, they could be quickly bankrupted.

To make matters worse, several senior figures of this new regulator, including its CEO, are reported to be strong supporters of a campaign to stop major brands advertising with the Daily Express and Daily Mail because of their alleged negative portrayal of religious minorities.

In fact, these two newspapers have repeatedly spoken out against Islamism and the persecution of Christians in Islamic countries – it was the Sunday Express front page, closely followed by the Daily Mail, that published the story Barnabas Aid first broke of archbishops from Syria and Iraq being denied UK visit visas to attend the consecration of the UK’s first Syriac Orthodox cathedral.

The second threat (as Barnabas Aid reported last summer) comes from an agreement between the EU and Internet companies such as Facebook, Microsoft and Twitter to take down any internet posts within 24 hours if what were termed “civil society” groups claimed they constituted “hate speech”. This effectively allowed lobby groups, including Islamists, to censor opinions they disagreed with by getting their members to mass report them. At the time the National Secular Society raised concerns that Facebook were censoring “atheist, secular and ex-Muslim content” after false “mass reporting” by “cyber Jihadists”.

The third threat comes from hate crime legislation. In addition to investigating “hate crimes”, which are criminal offences, police are also required to record “hate incidents”. The Association of Chief Police Officers and the Crown Prosecution Service have told the police to investigate all “hate incidents” – stating that these are where any person claims that any action or words by anyone else were motivated by prejudice, even if they do not constitute a crime:

Trump: Christian Refugees ‘Horribly Treated,’ ‘We Are Going to Help Them’

By John Hayward
Breitbart

In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network recorded on Thursday, but set to air in full on Sunday, President Trump said Christian refugees have been “horribly treated” and “we are going to help them.”
“The refugee changes that you’re looking to make, as it relates to persecuted Christians, do you see them as kind of a priority here?” CBN’s David Brody asked the President.
“Yes,” Trump replied. “They’ve been horribly treated.”
“Do you know if you were a Christian in Syria it was impossible – or at least very, very tough – to get in to the United States?” he asked. “If you were a Muslim, you could come in. But if you were Christian, it was almost impossible.”
“And the reason that was so unfair, is that everybody was persecuted in all fairness, they were chopping off the heads of everybody, but more so the Christians. I thought it was very, very unfair,” Trump continued. “So we are going to help them.”
While the administration of Trump’s predecessor Barack Obama significantly increased the number of Syrian refugees allowed into the country, an overwhelming majority of these were Muslim, despite the Islamic State’s systematic attempts to convert or kill both Syria and Iraq’s Christian population.

In June 2016, for example, the United States accepted a record number of 2,300 refugees from Syria. Eight were Christian. As a presidential candidate, Trump made the case that the number of Christian refugees being accepted into the United States was too low, while the number of undervetted Syrian Muslim refugees could pose a danger to the safety of U.S. citizens.

Iraqi Christians are determined to return to their homelands despite devastation wreaked by ISIS.

Qaraqosh, the largest Christian town on Iraq's Ninevah Plain, was largely destroyed under the jihadist occupation. Now back under Iraqi control, local Christian are insisting on better security as they prepare to go home.

Father Sharbil Eeso, a 72-year-old Catholic priest, has returned to Qaraqosh more than two years after he fled.

"Despite all the damage, I have hope for the future. If our security is guaranteed, Christians can continue to live in Iraq," he said.
In an appeal for help from fellow Christians outside of the Middle East, he said:
"I want to return to Qaraqosh when there is electricity and water again, although I think that safety is the main condition for returning."
Speaking to the Catholic charity Aid to the Church in Need, local salon owner Manal Matti, described how the militants set fire to the nearby Church of the Immaculate Conception and beheaded its statues.
"The jihadists used the church as a shooting range and the mannequins as targets. The mannequins are completely riddled [with bullets]."
Aid to the Church in Need said one church was used as an
ammunition store by the militants.

ACN reports show that Qaraqosh's St George's Syriac Catholic Church was used by ISIS as an improvised bomb factory and contained hundreds of bombs and grenades.

The extremists also wrote battle plans on church walls and chemicals were found in the building together with instructions on how to mix them into explosives.

Muslim Man Stones Pastor, Vows to Kill His Son, Then Converts to Christianity Only to Be Martyred for His New Faith

"They killed him because Datu was boldly sharing the gospel in the town"

Young villagers participate in a group activity in a remote area
in the Phillipines where foreign missionaries are active in
bringing the gospel to the people.

By Hazel Torres
Christian Today

A former Muslim community leader in the Philippines found himself likened to Apostle Paul, a persecutor of the early disciples of Jesus Christ when his name was still Saul of Tarsus.

He eventually became one of the world's greatest missionaries, spreading the gospel throughout the Roman Empire after experiencing a dramatic encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus.

Christian Aid Mission (CAM) has recalled the life and times of Datu, a former devout Filipino Muslim leader, who once only had hatred in his heart for Christians, just like Paul.

In a report on its website, the evangelical missionary organisation shared highlights of Datu's inspiring life beginning with the time when he hurled stones at Pastor Bagwis, a local Christian leader, his church building and his home.

He also vowed to kill the Filipino pastor's son and his family after he discovered that the young man, named Efren, was courting his daughter.

Later, however, Datu became conciliatory after finding out that Efren was a good man. He eventually agreed to have his daughter marry him in Christian rites.

"During the marriage ceremony, Pastor Bagwis preached Jesus Christ crucified," a ministry director told CAM.
Right at that very moment, Datu decided to embrace Christ, together with his family. A month later, he and his oldest son were baptised. This angered their Muslim relatives who began to threaten and persecute him and his family.

Pastor Surrounded By Islamist Extremists Out to Kill Him, But God Puts Invisible 'Shield' to Protect Him

By Hazel Torres
Christian Today

An invisible "shield" that could deflect any attack known to man has so far been confined in the realm of science fiction.

However, the persecution watchdog Open Doors USA has come out with a report attesting that such a God-given "protective shield" prevented a pastor from being killed by Islamist extremists who surrounded him at an undisclosed location in Southeast Asia.

Recalling the dramatic event, Pastor Amin said he once found himself surrounded by armed Islamist extremists. Their leader approached him and menacingly told him, "I am a faithful Muslim . . . so I have to participate in jihad."

Amin thought that he was about to suffer a gruesome death. But despite the terror that gripped his body, God gave him the courage to defiantly and fearlessly shout back: "Kill me if you must. Here I am!"

Upon hearing his words, the pastor's would-be attackers froze and could not even lift a finger at him. "Never had they seen such courage and calmness in the face of almost certain death," the Open Doors report says. "It was almost as if God had put a shield around the pastor they knew they couldn't penetrate."

News of Pastor Amin's courageous stand and God's apparent intervention to save him quickly spread in the area populated mostly by Muslims. Soon, Muslims began knocking on his door, all seeking salvation in the body and blood of Jesus Christ. As a result, Pastor Amin's church grew rapidly.

Islamic Immigration in Sweden: 70% RISE IN SEX ATTACKS

by Pamela Geller
Freedom Outpost

Sweden has fallen victim to Muslim migrant horrors, as has Germany, the UK and France, but Sweden “has taken in more Islamic refugees than any other western country in the world,” and consequentially become the rape capital of the West.
By Will Kirby, The Express, January 12, 2017:
In 2014, just one per cent of Swedish people said they had been sexually attacked, rising to 1.7 percent in 2015, which equates to more than 129,000 people.
The increase in sexual assault cases is having a devastating effect on the lives of Swedish women, with between 13 and 14 percent saying they were afraid of venturing out in the evenings, according to new date.
Around 22 per cent of women said they are concerned about sexual assault, as well as eight percent of Swedish men.

Sudanese Pastor Days Away From Death Sentence Decision; 112K Sign Petition Calling for His Release

By Stoyan Ziomov
Christian Post

A Christian pastor in Sudan is less than two weeks away from a court decision that could end up sentencing him to death, according to the American Center for Law and Justice, whose petition to save the pastor's life has been signed by over 112,000 people.

Pastor Hassan Abduraheem has been charged along with two other men by the Sudanese government with espionage and agitating hatred between classes, and is being held in al-Huda Prison in Omdurman.

Last week, Pastor Kuwa Shamal was released on the same charges after authorities found no evidence against him, and the conservative law group is arguing that Abduraheem also deserves his freedom. Abduraheem's attorneys have reportedly finished laying out his defense, and a decision by a judge is expected on Jan. 23.

The ACLJ has stepped up its campaign to free the pastor by sending a letter to Sudan's Minister of Justice, Awad Al-Hassan Al-Noor.

"Rev. Abduraheem has been detained for over a year as the result of an act of kindness he bestowed on a young boy in need of medical attention. In November 2015, Rev. Abduraheem, along with Rev. Kuwa Shamal, attended a Christian conference in Sudan where Rev. Abduraheem was a speaker," the letter said, focusing on the details behind the case.
"During his speech, Rev. Abduraheem showed the audience a picture of a young man who had been badly beaten for attending a demonstration, and explained that he was helping pay for his medical treatment," it added.

CHRISTIAN ENVOY: CONGRESS MUST CUT ALL UN FUNDING AFTER ANTI-SETTLEMENT VOTE

"Resolution 2334 will fuel boycott Israel movement, spread false history."

By Benjamin Glatt
Jerusalem Post Christian News

Congress must eliminate all funding to the UN after the Security Council passed anti-Israel Resolution 2334, said the World Council of Independent Christian Churches’ envoy to the world body.
“We are calling on President-elect Donald Trump, upon his first order of business on January 21, 2017, to call upon Congress to cut all funding to the UN and to immediately begin the process of moving the US Embassy from Tel Aviv, to her biblical, ancient capital, Jerusalem,” said Laurie Cardoza-Moore late Wednesday.
Cardoza-Moore is president of Proclaiming Justice to the Nations and UN special envoy for the World Council of Independent Christian Churches, which represents over 40 million congregants worldwide.

Security Council Resolution 2334 declared that Israel’s settlements had no legal validity, and that many of the country’s ancient sites were in “occupied territory.”

“As Christians around the world were preparing to celebrate Christmas, and our Jewish brethren were preparing for Hanukka, the United Nations, with the wide-predicted support of President Barack Obama – with a single vote, they have denied our Jewish brethren the rights to their homeland as well as threatening the very survival of Christians and our holy sites in the biblical heartland,” she said.
“It is past time for the US to send a message loud and clear that we the people will stand with our Jewish brethren and Israel in the struggle for her right to inhabit her ancient biblical and legal homeland.”

Egypt: Christian Couple Stabbed to Death on Coptic Christmas Day

By Edwin Marro
Brietbart

At least three members of the Coptic Christian minority have been killed so far this year in Egypt, including a couple found in their bed with their throats slit on January 6, the traditional Coptic Christmas Day, reports Christian Today, citing World Watch Monitor (WWM).

The couple has been identified by WWM, an organization that covers Christian persecution across the globe, as Gamal Sami, 60, and his wife, Nadia, 48.

While police have cited robbery as the motivation for the deaths, the woman’s brother and the first person to reach the crime scene, Magdy Amin Girgis, has suggested they were murdered because of their faith, noting that nothing had been taken from the couple’s home.

Girgis told the Christian organization that he found the couple with their throats cut and “drenched in blood,” still on their bed.

WWM notes:

The murders followed another deadly attack on a Coptic Christian only three days earlier. Youssef Lamei was murdered in Alexandria on 3 January by an alleged “professional” killer.
The attack on the couple bore similarities with Lamei’s murder, according to reports.
The main suspects for the double killing are two men known only as Mohammad M and Abd al-Aziz Q, according to the police. It is understood that the two men did not know their victims.
The couple is reportedly from the mainly Christian village of Tukh El-Dalkah, near Tala, home to three churches that canceled their Christmas services to mourn the dead.

Parish Center Vandalized, Islamist Slogans Written on Walls

By Nick Hallett
Breitbart

Vandals “devastated” a Christian parish centre in Germany, writing Islamist slogans on the walls, in another example of an attack on a Christian site during the New Year.

In a statement released this Thursday, police in the town of Brühl in the Rhein-Neckar district of Baden-Württemberg confirmed the parish centre had been broken into on the evening of 30 December.

They said the vandals had left a “picture of devastation”, destroying glass panes, breaking doors and writing “Islamist” slogans on the walls. Despite the nature of the slogans, however, police have said they “do not assume” they are relevant to the motive for the attack.
A number of Christian sites were attacked in Germany and Austria during the New Year period, with the perpetrators still largely unknown.

Breitbart London reported last week on a series of attacks on chapels and shrines in northern Austria, with statues beheaded, prayer books burned and sacred images destroyed.

In one incident in the village of St Radegund, vandals damaged a statue of the Virgin Mary before stealing prayer books and wooden objects and burning them in a nearby wood.

In a similar attack in Braunau am Inn, just a few miles away, vandals stole a Christ figure from a cross and beheaded a statue of St Barbara, causing an estimated 5,000 euros of damage.

The attacks are nothing new, however. In November, Breitbart London reported on similar incidents in the German town of Dülmen, where Christian statues were damaged and destroyed. Noses and fingers were smashed off, while some were even beheaded.

'God Works All Things Together For Good': Nigerian Pastor Whose Church Was Burned Down By Boko Haram

Nigerian Pastor Aminu Sule. Nigeria is ranked
12th on a new list of countries where Christians
face the most persecution.
Ruth Gledhill
By Carey Lodge
Christian Today

Five years ago in November 2011, Rev Aminu Sule was in his village in Dematuru, Yobe State, in Northern Nigeria when Islamist militants from Boko Haram attacked the community.

Churches were burned down and some 200 people killed. Militants continued through the night – going from house to house, killing every Christian they found. Most fled, but Sule – whose evangelical church was bombed and completely destroyed during the attack – stayed behind with his family.

"Many of us fled, but for me as a pastor – I could not run away and leave the few that stayed," he told Christian Today.
"Many people left Dematuru because of the levels of persecution, but I said no – I cannot leave my church. I am supposed to be the last person to close the church, if it is necessary. I cannot leave my church because I am the pastor. In the Bible, it says 'The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.' If I run away and leave my congregation, what will I say to them? How could I preach dependence on God?
"I said for me, 'To live is Christ and to die is gain.' If I die, it will be for the sake of the church."
Just three Christian families stayed behind in Sule's village, and his own children were traumatized by the attack – two of his sons didn't eat for a fortnight.
"The bombing and the shooting was just like rain – it didn't stop. That scared them the most," he said. "But I encouraged them, even though they are children, to know that God is in control of all situations."

A church destroyed by Boko Haram in Yobe state. Open Doors
Nigeria is ranked 12th on the World Watch List of countries where Christians face the most persecution, released today by charity Open Doors.

Much of the violence is perpetuated by Boko Haram; an Islamist militant group whose name means 'Western education is sinful'. Since uprising in 2009, it has targeted more than 900 schools, deliberately killing at least 611 teachers and forcing another 1,900 to flee. In total, 20,000 people have been killed over the past eight years as a result of the insurgency.

Bible Translators in Dangerous Countries Facing Persecution 'Every Week'

By Anugrah Kumar
Christian Post

A leading international organization helping Bible to be translated in mother tongues around the world is urging Christians in the United States to pray for the translators, saying it is receiving new reports of oppression "literally every week."

Florida-based Wycliffe Associates says it has seen a rise in the oppression of Bible translators.

"We are getting new reports of oppression literally every week," Bruce Smith, the group's President and CEO, said in a statement. "Spiritual warfare has become the 'new normal' for many national Bible translators. When national translators gather in a workshop to launch a new language, it's actually unusual for everything to go 'as expected.'"
Wycliffe Associates, which started a project last year to help mother tongue Bible translators to start translation in 314 languages in 76 countries, explained that the most severe and brutal persecution occurs in areas where Christianity is fiercely opposed. The group didn't disclose the locations of the persecuted translators due to their safety concerns.

Last month, Dr. Vernon Brewer, president and founder of the Christian humanitarian organization World Help, said in a statement,
"At no other time in history have Christians been as persecuted as they are now. Some estimate more Christians have been martyred for their faith in the past century than in the previous 19 combined, and persecution in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia seems to be on the rise."
While oppression and persecution of the translators have increased, there has also been a "dramatic increase" in requests for help from indigenous churches and language groups for the translation, the group said.
It's a spiritual warfare, Smith believes, as his group has received reports of translators falling ill, often without explanation, translators being arrested and thrown in jail, some cruelly tortured, translators being assaulted and murdered, and translators' family members experiencing sudden problems that kept the translators from their work.

Catholic Hospital Sued for Refusing to Remove Transgender Man's Uterus

A transgender man who was born female has filed a federal lawsuit against a Catholic hospital in New Jersey for refusing to allow a surgeon to perform a hysterectomy as part of a gender transition due to the facility's religious beliefs.

Jionni Conforti, 33, from Totowa, alleged in the suit that staff at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center initially gave the go-ahead for the surgery, and a surgeon was prepared to perform the procedure in 2015 when a hospital administrator said that "as a Catholic Hospital we would not be able to allow your surgeon to schedule this surgery," NorthJersey.com reports.

In an email sent to Conforti, the Rev. Martin Rooney, director of mission services at St. Joseph, wrote,
"This is to follow up to your email inquiring about scheduling a total hysterectomy here at St. Joseph's to remove all female parts based on the medical necessity for Gender Reassignment. This is to inform you that as a Catholic Hospital we would not be able to allow your surgeon to schedule this surgery here at St. Joseph's."
Bill Donohue, president of Catholic League, believes Conforti is an "activist" who's targeting a Catholic hospital for political reasons.
"St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center is a leading Catholic healthcare institution serving one of the most diverse and underserved populations in New Jersey. The Medical Center follows the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services in making decisions about care and treatment," the hospital said in a statement.

Scores of Muslims Turning to Christ in Middle East; Churches Expecting 'Millions' of Converts'

By Stoyan Zaimov
Christian Post

Thousands of Muslims are turning to Jesus Christ and what they view as the "religion of freedom" amid ongoing bloodshed in the Middle East, reports indicate. Some churches hope that millions of people will accept Christ amid a "spiritual hunger" that is forming in the wake of persecution.

Voice Of the Martyrs Canada, which supports Christian radio broadcasts in the region, told BosNewsLife that despite the mass exodus of Christians from Iraq and Syria due to terrorism, persecution, and war, scores of Muslims are making the decision to embrace Christianity.
"There are thousands upon thousands coming to Christ," VOMC revealed. "We are in regular contact with our FM stations in Iraq and have talked with many people who have family in the Middle East."
"Some of our Middle Eastern broadcasters have shared testimonies [about many turning to Christ] with us, which they hear directly from listeners when visiting there ..."
In Iran, Christian house churches are regularly targeted and shut down by the nation's Islamic government. Despite this persecution, mission group Elam Ministries revealed that Christians have been growing in terms of numbers, and today estimates suggest there are 360,000 believers in Iran – up from only 500 in 1979.
"Church leaders believe that millions can be added to the church in the next few years -- such is the spiritual hunger that exists and the disillusionment with the Islamic regime," Elam Ministries stated.
"If we remain faithful to our calling, our conviction is that it is possible to see the nation transformed within our lifetime. Because Iran is a strategic gateway nation, the growing church in Iran will impact Muslim nations across the Islamic world."

12 Worst Christian Persecution Nations; US Makes List for First Time

By Stoyan Zaimov
The Christian Post

The United States has for the first time been named among the top 12 nations where Christians are targeted for their faith by a persecution watchdog group in its "Hall of Shame" report for 2016.
"We felt it was very important this year that we highlight three countries where religious discrimination and persecution are deemed unusual but have reached a certain threshold of concern. These are Mexico, Russia, and sadly, the United States," explained in a press release Jeff King, president of International Christian Concern.
"While conditions in the US are in no way comparable to other countries on the list, a certain segment of the culture and the courts seem to be intent on driving faith out of the public square. There have been too many court cases with bad decisions to miss the clear trend line."
The ICC report divides the 12 countries into three categories. Nigeria, Iraq and Syria were listed among "the worst of the worst" countries for Christians, due largely to the rise of Islamic extremism and the ongoing terror attacks throughout these nations.

North Korea was also included in this category, although government crackdowns, executions and the mass imprisonment of between 40,000-70,000 Christians were the prime drivers of persecution.

India, China, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt were listed as "core" countries of persecution, where Christians are targeted often by blasphemy laws, while the rise of Christian populations is suppressed, as it is seen as a threat to the government or religious majorities.

Finally, the U.S., Mexico, and Russia were identified as "new and noteworthy" nations where Christians are facing increased persecution.

The entry for the U.S. points out that supporters of Islamic radicals have managed to carry out a number of lone-wolf attacks in the past year, but Christians are also being targeted by culture and by the media.

"Christians in the U.S. are facing constant attacks in the media, where they are portrayed as bigoted, racist, sexist, and close- minded," the report argues, highlighting in part the battle between traditional marriage and LGBT-supporting groups.

Illinois School District Bars Students From Announcing Prayer Gatherings on Facebook Page

Another public school district has caved to the demands
of the most prominent atheist legal organization in the United States

By Samuel Smith
The Christian Post

Wayne City Community Unit School District 100 in Illinois has barred students at Wayne City High School from using the school's public Facebook page to encourage their peers to participate in prayer gatherings and religious events after the Wisconsin-based Freedom From Religion Foundation complained about a Facebook post announcing a prayer gathering during a "Bring Your Bible to School Day" event in October.

The post, which was published on the Wayne City High School Facebook page by a student on Sept. 30, invited students to bring their Bibles to school on Oct. 6 and advertised a meeting in the school library at 7:50 a.m. "to pray over the day."

"Everybody is welcome to join in on this activity," the post read. "We will be carrying our Bibles around school this day. This is not just a Wayne City thing, it's happening nationwide."

Needless to say, such an advertisement of religion on the school's official Facebook page drew the ire of at least one local resident, who complained to the FFRF, an atheist legal group that pressures public schools around the nation to crack down on any perceived endorsement of religion.

FFRF attorney Ryan Jayne sent a letter to the school district's Superintendent, Jeff Mitchell, on Oct. 5 arguing that such a posting violates the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment.

"This Facebook posting violates the basic constitutional prohibition by creating the appearance that the school and, by extension, the district prefer religion to non religion and Christianity to all other religions," the letter states.

Pastor From Pakistan Arrested for Allegedly Vandalising the Quran

By Czarina Ong
Christian Today

A Christian pastor from Lahore, the capital of the Pakistani province of Punjab, has been arrested by the authorities because he allegedly disrespected the Quran, the Muslim holy book, in an incident that happened recently in Nishtar Colony.
The only thing tying Pastor Babu Shehbaz to the alleged crime was a scribble of his name on the pages of the Quran, which was found on a street near a Christian locality in Kamahan village, according to Pakistan Today.
He was arrested after complainant Haji Nadeem got a First Information Report (FIR) registered against him. The FIR is a written document prepared by police organizations in Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan after they receive information about a cognisable offence.

However, Nadeem did admit that neither he nor anyone else saw Shehbaz writing his name on the pages of the Muslim holy book. He also admitted that he was not sure whether or not the pastor really did commit the crime or if he was simply framed up.

Christian Missionaries in Aleppo Crucified and Beheaded

from Archbishop Cranmer Blog

“At several steps on their path to death by beheading and crucifixion last month, 11 indigenous Christian workers near Aleppo, Syria had the option to leave the area and live. The 12-year-old son of a ministry team leader also could have spared his life by denying Christ…”

The Christian Aid Mission account of the fate of Aleppo’s indigenous Christian missionaries is harrowing and humbling. While Western politicians debate whether or not to risk World War III by creating a safe haven in northern Syria and imposing a no-fly zone over Aleppo – with the expectation (/certainty) of US/European forces, sooner or later, having to shoot down a Russian bomber or Syrian fighter jet – we’re hearing a lot about Assad’s (lesser) evil, ISIS barbarism and the pervasive demonic contempt for the human spirit. Women are stoned, men burned alive, girls raped and gays hurled from tall buildings. It is an image of hell.
